Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, I now live in Lake Elsinore, CA. I’m a retired US Marine Corps Reserve Officer and award winning photographer. In 1983, working with the USMC Public Affairs Office, I started work in the entertainment industry as a military technical adviser on a film called Invaders From Mars. --- From 1985-2001, in between tours of duty, I worked in Hollywood as an actor, mostly involved in theater. A highlight from my 7 years of professional training was while taking directing classes at UCLA. The teacher and famous director, Don Richardson, asked me to join his private professional acting group. He directed shows like Bonanza, F-Troop and Get Smart. I only worked with him for six months before I was sent on a one year tour of duty to Colombia, SA. On my return I found out he passed away the month before. One of my highlights in working in the theater was when Science Fiction writer Ray Bradbury came three time to see our production of The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit, where I played the part of Martinez; he first wrote the play as a short story in1957. In 2003/4 I was in Kuwait where I supervised the Recreation Support Section and hosted USO tours of celebrities and entertainment acts in support of our troops in Kuwait and Iraq. Currently, I'm still waiting to be discovered. My acting experience has covered plays from Shakespeare to Paul Simon comedies and I have directed four original comedies by the late Bob Herrera and one of my own creations, The Jump. This last year I directed and edited two short films, one documentary of master artist Frank Martinez and Directed a video comedy short Happy Fliers S.O.A.K.
My Last Tour In The Marine Corps - 2001
Public Affairs Officer, Executive Producer of the Base Command Channel ,TVS, LCTV-10, MCB Camp Lejeune, NC.
Música L.A. comes out of my frustration of trying to get projects produced. I got tired of waiting around for doors to open and decided to build my own door. Now I can at least try to unlock some doors for the talent that works with me and the excellent musical talent I interview in this unique program. With MUSICA L.A. I don't just interview a group and forget about them; they have their own presence here with links to their own pages. On this website, people following a certain musician or group can also discover someone or something new.
I'm currently working with a zero budget with equipment I already have but with my vast experience I'm making it work. Only around since late August, Música L.A. is growing rapidly as word spreads about my little show. I'm looking for a new marketing director, to help secure more of the groups shown on MUSICA L.A. as I strive to increase the quality of the program in the coming new year. Don't for get to leave a comments and when you visit YOU TUBE please subscribe to my channel in order for the program to progress - Thanks
